Winter Wonderland

Hello and welcome back to another challenge at Crafty Boots Challenges.

Not long now until Christmas Day, hopefully you have made and sent all of your cards, wrapped your presents, put up your decorations and just have the food to sort out now .... or have you sorted that as well?

We have a new Challenge starting today, which we have called 'Winter Wonderland'. In the UK people often talk about a white Christmas, but they are rare as we tend to get our heaviest snowfalls in January or February. However, this does not stop us depicting snowy scenes on Christmas cards and buying our disappointed children taboggans for Christmas.

What do you think of when you think of a winter wonderland? We should like to see the projects this inspires you to make. Here are a few ideas from our fabulous Design Team.

Our Design Team Family would like to wish you and your family and very happy and safe Christmas and New Year.

Christmas Mid Challenge Reminder

We're back with a mid challenge reminder for the current Crafty Boots 'Christmas' Challenge.

We would like to take this opportunity to introduce three exceptionally talented ladies today, they won our recent 'Halloween/Autumn' challenge and very generously agreed to be our Guest Designers this week.

Please make time to visit their blogs, you will not be disappointed.

Gunn-Eirill

My name is Gunn-Eirill, I am 45 year young, living in south of Norway with 3 children and my lovely husband, one cat called Gardfield and 100 fish.

I have always been crafting. When I was 5 years old I was cross stitching, at 6 I was making my own clothing, and so on...  In 2007 I was hook on paper, and now I am a hoarder. I just love paper, trims, bling, pearls, flowers... you know girls...

My style as a scrapper is easy to explain: 3D, building weird thing for no use and no reason. I am jusing my Shilhouette machine to make my own templates. I do always have some crazy ideas in my head for what I am going to make, so I have 3-5 project on my desk, and 50 more in my head. I whis that I had more time to make all this things, one day I will....I hope.

I am a crafter from Norway.  I live close to the capital, Oslo, with my family and a dog. I make cards, alter objects, Mixed Media, layouts and create 3D papercrafts. I am currently a designer for Hobbykunst (large craft shop in Norway), StampARTic (online craft magazine), Scandinavia Paper Fun (Scandinavian Challenge blog). I am also a guest designer for Ett trykk (Norwegian Scrapbooking magazine) and Nicecrane designs.

I love to create projects in 3D, and normally incorporate that in my crafts.  My style is often a gentle style, with a hint of steampunk and gears.  My favourite brand at the moment is Prima.

As a guest DT, I have decorated a Peat Pot, with a small Christmas scene. The house has a small diode light inside.

I would like to thank Crafty Boots for the invitation to be GDT. My name is Annette Stapylton I live on the South Coast of NSW in Australia and I have been scrapping for over 10 years. My forte is mainly designing and making cards, which I love to enter in as many challenges as possible. I am always seeking out different ideas and designs for my creations.

I have my own Facebook Scrapping Group where I run a monthly Challenge with my Design Team plus I DT for My Besties International, My Besites UK, 3D Decoupage and Scrapbook Blessings Club. I would love to have you visit my Blog and see some of my other creations and little tutorials etc. (My Blog Link is http://annetteshobbyrosettes.blogspot.com.au/)

The following photos of some recent DT projects which include Bookatrix Easel Cards and also Christmas Gift Box Easel Cards which I have a tutorial on my Blog if anyone is interested in trying this design.

Thank you for taking the time to read my short Bio and look forward to having you visit my Blog.

Our fabulous Design Team have not been idle either, here are some more of their gorgeous 'Christmas' projects.

Merry Christmas

Not long now, Christmas will be here before we know it. I am sure that most of you have been very organised and you have made all of your cards and gifts and none of you are panicking about getting everything done in time ... unlike me! Every year I say next year I am going to be better organised and every year I actually seem to get worse.

We have a new challenge starting today at Crafty Boots Challenges today. The theme is 'Christmas', please share with us your Christmas cards, decorations, gifts etc.

The fun does not stop there, recently it has been my immense privilege to share with you several pieces of very exciting news and today there is more. Fanfare please ............. Crafty Boots Challenges are thrilled to announce that Jess Hawkins has joined our Design Team. We asked Jess to say a few words about herself:

"I have been paper-crafting for about 4 years now, but have always been a crafter, starting out with knitting and crochet at a very young age. I love making cards, as well as altering projects (Beyond The Page). When I'm not crafting, I am studying at university, mum to three beautiful little girls, and carer/wife for my disabled husband. I would describe my crafting style as eclectic; sometimes I go through a CAS phase, and sometimes the embellishments get a real run. Regardless of the style of card, my "signature" seems to be bling in some form or other on almost all of my cards. My favourite craft products are my Copic markers, paper trimmer, and my character stamps, although I'm learning to love heat-Embossing. I am really excited to be offered a chance to design with the Crafty Boots Design Team, and I look forward to stretching myself creatively."

Our very talented Design Team has been busy making some inspirational pieces to share with you.

We would like to take this opportunity to introduce three very talented ladies today, they won our recent 'Gold' challenge and very generously agreed to be our Guest Designers this week.  Please make time to visit their blogs, you will not be disappointed.

Eve

My name is Eve but I am better known in the blog world as Nick „zielonaliszka” .

I discovered scrapbooking two and a half years ago and since then it has become my passion, I spend all of my free time working on paper projects of one sort or another. I make cards for all sorts of special occasions and from time to time I also make ornaments or other decorations. If you would like to see more of my work, please visit my website: http://zielonaliszka.blogspot.com/.

I am very glad that I could prepare this card specifically for Crafty Boots. I think that ‘Stars’ is a such a good topic.

Here is my star card:

Hi, my name is Pauline and I live in Hampshire with my wonderful husband and two gorgeous sons. One year my husband gave me a card making book for Christmas and my obsession was born. I started my blog in 2011 to share my cards and enter challenges, I have made lots of wonderful friends all over the world and joined numerous design teams. Thank you so much to the Crafty Boots team for inviting me to guest design for them, I have really enjoyed creating my card.

Welcome everyone!

My name is Ewa, but in craft world I'm known as Yvette. In general my adventure with handcrafting started years ago, but I began my experience with scrapbooking around 5 years ago. At first I've been making cards and bookmarks, but in time I've learned how to create more complicated designs. Two years ago I created my first layout (LO) and attended a workshop about using different media. Those experiences totally changed my way of creating. Today I'd like to show an starry Christmas card :)

Our lovely Design Team have not been idle and have some more fabulous 'Star' cards.

This challenge will remain open until noon on Sunday, 7 December.  Please click here to go directly to the challenge.
