The Crafty Boots is looking to extend its design team

The Crafty Boots Challenge Blog has a small friendly team of designers which we are looking to expand by two or three new members.

Crafty Boots Challenge Blog has been going for just over three years, since the beginning there have been around 80 challenges.  New challenges are announced on alternate Monday's at 10 am UK time.

We are in the process of introducing one of two new features, for example, guest designer spots and mid challenge reminders.

Requirements
  • Designers are required to create one project for each main challenge and occasionally for the mid challenge reminder; promote the challenges via their personal blog; comment on challenge participants and vote for their top three.  Challenges are fortnightly but we understand that life gets in the way sometimes and you may miss the occasional one.
  • You will need to have good photographic skills and provide clear, bright photographs of your work for the challenge blog.
  • You must have a blog or, if you do not have a blog, be willing to set one up.
    Other information
    • There is no set term appointment, you are free to leave at any time, or stay on for as long as you wish.
    • Previous design team experience is NOT required.
    • This call is open to ALL types of crafters - cardmaking, scrapbooking, mixed media, etc and there is no restrictions of what you can use.
    • We are intending to add 2 or 3 designers to our existing team (although there may be some flexibility in this if there is a very high standard of applicants).
    • The call will be open until midnight (UK time) on Sunday 25 October 2014.

Hello and welcome back to another challenge at Crafty Boots Challenges.

The theme of the challenge for the next two weeks is 'Sweet 16'.  This challenge was chosen by the lovely and very talented Sandra because today is her daughter's 16th birthday.   Congratulations from all of us on the Crafty Boots Design Team.

We should like to see your projects for daughters everywhere, for teenagers - and the young at heart, for the ones we love and treasure.  Help us celebrate each and every one of them.

    Postcards

Hello and welcome back to another challenge at Crafty Boots Challenges. The theme of the challenge for the next two weeks is 'Postcards'.

Sitting writing postcards to friends and family at home whilst you are on holiday seems to be a thing of the past. With laptops and mobile phones to keep in touch, and the cost of postage these days, they have gone out of fashion. However, the very lovely Lisette wants us to celebrate these little pieces of card by using them in our projects.

Here is what our design team have come up with:

    Flowers

Hello and welcome back to another challenge at Crafty Boots Challenges. The theme of the challenge for the next two weeks is 'Flowers'.

Glorious August has arrived it is often the warmest month of the year in the UK and harvesting is well underway in the fields around here. A time of year when gardens are full of brightly coloured flowers - although all of the watering can be such hard work, but it is worth it.

Hopefully, all of this wonderful colour and perfume will inspire your floral projects.  Here is what our design team have come up with:

    Summer Holidays

Hello and welcome back to another challenge at Crafty Boots Challenges.  The Challenge for the next two weeks is 'Summer Holidays', this exciting topic was chosen by Sandra.

In England and Wales last week (school holiday dates are slightly different in Northern Ireland and Scotland) the schools closed for the long summer break and families are packing for their annual summer holiday.  The weather, which up to this point had been glorious, immediately changed and for the past few days we have been experiencing thunderstorms, flash flooding and even hail.  What can I say?

We would like you to show us your take on summer holidays.  Our design team have come up with some amazing inspirational projects.

This challenge will remain open until 12 noon Sunday, 3 August.  As always, there are very few rules, other then to have fun.  For a full set of rules please see here.

    Christmas in July

Hello and welcome back to another challenge at Crafty Boots Challenges.

The Challenge for the next two weeks is 'Christmas in July'.  Can you believe that we are halfway through the year already, which means that there are just 24 weeks until Christmas.  Before we know it, most of us will be complaining that it is almost Christmas and we have not started making our cards yet.  So this is your opportunity to make an early start on your cards and on all of those Christmas projects that every year you tell yourself that you are definitely going to make for next Christmas.

Your project can be anything to do with Christmas, a card, a gift, a tag, a decoration for your walls or your tree - the list is almost endless.

This challenge will remain open until 12 noon Sunday, 20 July.  As always, there are very few rules, other then to have fun.  For a full set of rules please see here.

Our design team have come up with these some amazing projects to get you in the mood:
