Gold or Silver Challenge

It's time for a new challenge here at Crafty Boots Challenges, for the next two weeks our challenge theme is 'Gold or Silver'.

As always with our challenges, you can use any materials you like to make anything you like, for example, a card, a box top, a gift bag, a scrapbook page, or an ATC, an inchie.  It is entirely up to you how you choose to interpret the theme.  So dig out your gold and silver ink pads, metallic paint, glitter, mirri card, gilding flakes, foil etc and share your shinning creations with us.

Monochrome Mid Challenge Reminder

Welcome back to the mid challenge reminder for Crafty Boots Challenges, the current challenge is to make a project in 'Monochrome'.

The winners of this Challenge will be given the opportunity to be featured in a future challenge as a Guest Designer. Chrissy and Wendy were winners of our recent 'Christmas in July' Challenge.  As you can see, they are very talented card makers, check out their blogs, you will be in for a treat.

Hi! My name is Chrissy and I live in beautiful Napier, New Zealand. I live on my own with my dog ‘Harry’ and work full time [plus] as a caregiver.    I have three grown children and four wonderful grand children ... 2 of each.

Never been a crafting person, but started scrapbooking when the G/kids were small.   My crafting is my relaxing pleasure at night time and sometimes on the weekend ... when time allows.  My style is wherever it takes me at the time ... I don’t usually prepare for what happens when I start a project it just happens, but I do love doing little animated scenes and I have just started mixed media canvases.

Wendy

Hi, my name's Wendy, I live in Inverness, in the Highlands of Scotland, where the weather is often cold and wet, so having an indoor hobby, such as papercraft, is a good idea!  I've been creative in one way or another all of my life, but over the last decade paper has pretty much taken over my world, but I also dabble in a little bit of felting now and then.

 

If I'm not in my craft room, you'll usually find me in the kitchen, cooking for my family, or chatting with friends over a large pot of tea and home baking.

Monochrome Challenge

Welcome to a new challenge here at Crafty Boots, the theme for the next two weeks is 'Monochrome'.

For many of us the first thing to enter our heads when we start to imagine monochrome projects is black and white, but it can be other colours, providing it is just one color or shades of one color.   As always with our challenges, you can use any materials you like, to make anything you like, for example, a card, a box top, a gift bag, a scrapbook page, an ATC, an inchie, etc. It is entirely up to you how you choose to interpret the theme.

Sketch II Mid Challenge Reminder

Welcome back to Crafty Boots Challenges, where it is time for our mid challenge reminder. Our current challenge is a sketch challenge. 

There are one or two additional rules for our sketch challenge:

• you can rotate the sketch and you can re size the elements if you wish.  
• do not move the elements around too much, the original sketch layout should still be recognisable.  
• you can use any materials you like to make anything you like, for example, a card, a box top, a gift bag, a scrapbook page, an ATC, an inchie, etc.  Just as long as the original sketch design is obvious in whatever you make.

The winners of this Challenge will be given the opportunity to be featured in a future challenge as a Guest Designer. Tiziana was the winner of our recent 'Stars and Stripes' Challenge.  As you can see, Tiziana is a very talented card maker, check out her blog, you will be in for a treat.

My name is Tiziana, I live near Rome.   I create since I can remember myself.  The design and the colors are the food of my soul.  I paint in all techniques, oil, watercolor, acrylics, copic, distress, pastels and the porcelain.

So I decided to open my blog with the name ''Sweet and colored'' dedicated to my passion for the scrap.
