'You Are My Sunshine' Challenge

It is a Bank Holiday Monday here in the UK, a time when many families traditionally flock to the the beach for the day.  Often it is the last opportunity to enjoy the sunshine before the autumn sets in.  Our next Bank Holiday will be Christmas Day, which is not a time we normally think of laying on the beach - unless we are lucky enough to be on the other side of the world.

A new Challenge starts today, Design Team Member Lisette (aka Mrs Beez) has challenged all of us to use sunny colours in our projects for this challenge, which Lisette has called 'You Are my Sunshine'.  As always with our challenges, you can use any materials you like, to make anything you like, for example, a card, a box top, a gift bag, a scrapbook page, an ATC, an inchie ...........

Our Design Team have come up with a few ideas to give you an idea of the sort of thing Lisette had in mind.

Hi my name is Billie Anderson. My blog is called Ink on My Fingers. I have always loved doing crafts and paper-crafting took over my life in the late 80’s. I am on four design teams and love bringing cards to life. My style has changed over the years and I want to keep learning and trying more techniques. I keep a yearly journal to keep track of my projects and this is one of journal divider page I made. I am retiring the end of Oct. 2016 and looking forward to more time doing some of my other crafts.

I am married with grown children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. We have a little 4 legged kid who is spoiled.. I hope you stop by my blog and take a look. Thank you and Thank you Crafty boots for having me as a Guest Designer.

'Anything But a Card' Challenge

It is time for a new and exciting challenge here at Crafty Boots Challenges, for the next two weeks we should like to see your creative side coming up with something other than a card. It could be, for example, an altered box, a gift bag, a scrapbook page, an ATC, an inchie - just as long as it's not a card! You can use any materials you like and you are not restricted to paper, it could be made of wood or fabric - or even embroidery.

Our Design Team have come up with a one of two ideas to get you going.

'Use a Stamp' Mid Challenge Reminder

We are back with the Mid Challenge reminder for the 'Use a Stamp' Challenge - what is it they say, time flies when you are having fun?  It is wonderful to see so many entries in this challenge, who would have thought so many of us love to use our stamps.

The winners of this Challenge will be given the opportunity to be featured in a future challenge as a Guest Designer. Andree (Aloha Cards), Lisa (Handmade by Lisa) and Carol (Crafty Stamper) won our recent 'Masculine Cards' challenge. We are so lucky to have three really talented ladies guesting this week and you really should take a look their blogs to see more of their amazing work.

Andree

Hello, my name is Andree and I live in the UK and work in a local school office and so lots of my school holidays get spent in my craft room.  I’ve been making cards for the last 12 years and I love both digi and rubber stamps and colouring with Promarkers.  I also have a bit of an addiction to pretty papers-like most crafters I have far more than I could ever use but just can’t seem to help myself.

I started my blog ‘Aloha Cards’ a few years ago mainly to keep a track of the cards I was making but then I discovered so many other wonderful blogs and challenge blogs and I now have lots of crafty blog friends.

I’d like to thank the team at Crafty Boots for this opportunity to be their guest designer for this challenge, and I’m very proud to take part.

Lisa

My name is Lisa and I´m 48 years young. I live with my husband and our cat in a small town two hours from Stockholm, Sweden. I´m a dental hygienist by profession. I've been making cards since 2011 and I absolutely love it. I´ve always at least one ongoing project on my desk and always a lot of them on my mind. I colour my images with Polychromos pencils or Distress Ink re-inkers. I spend a lot of my free time crafting but have also other interests like photography, travel, hiking and sports activity. This is my blog: Handmade by Lisa.

Carol

Hi I'm Carol and live in Kingston Upon Hull in England, I have crafted for many years through knitting, cake decorating and now card making, mini albums and decorated canvas - I have also recently rediscovered my first love of stamping and am delighted to be Guest Designer for Crafty Boots.

Our regular Design Team have been busy too, here are some more of their ideas.

'Use a Stamp' Challenge

A new month and a new challenge here at Crafty Boots.  For the next two weeks we are challenging you to dust of  your stamps and use them to create something a little bit special.  They can be the more traditional rubber/polymer stamps or they can be digital stamps, we really do not mind.

As always with our challenges, you can use any materials you like, to make anything you like, for example, a card, a box top, a gift bag, a scrapbook page, an ATC, an inchie, etc - just as long as you have used a stamp to create it.

Our Design Team have come up with a few ideas to get you in the mood.
